I'm 34 years old and live in Wilmington, NC. We just moved here in October and I absolutely love it. We came here a few times last summer and fell in love with the city, so much so that we decided as soon as one of us got a job here we were moving. I am a University of South Carolina alum and a huge Gamecock fan, and I love football. I also like going to the movies with friends, working out, hiking, laying out, going to concerts, and watching TV. I got married two and a half years ago and am now enjoying the beginning of our new life together in Wilmington (we were in Georgia most of our first year of marriage, and in Columbia our second). I also have a very cute and spoiled little dog named Stitches who is a mixed breed and looks like Tramp off of Lady and the Tramp, and adopted a dog named Quincy that was scheduled for death row but is a total sweatheart last April (he is part westie and part something else-not sure quite what). I like dogs and enjoy spoiling her with treats and bully sticks. I have recently had allergy testing and am taking allergy shots, and wouldn't you know one of the things I am allergic to is my poor baby dogs. Oh, well, it was pretty much everything I was allergic, too, so, oh, well. I love "Monk," "Psych," "Dancing with the Stars," "One Tree Hill," and courttv and A&E crime shows. I also like Animal Planet, except for the animal precinct shows because they tend to make me cry.
I hope to eventually get my masters in social work and go into counseling, but am afraid that I might get too into it and have a hard time leaving work at work. I tend to let my heart rule my mind sometimes. Which is a good thing, but can take a toll on your emotions.
We don't get a whole lot of time to watch tv anymore and I love that there is always something here to do. I also work Monday through Thursday and get up at 5 AM to get to work so it's not like I am a night owl like I used to be. Plus, I am getting old. :)
